Century Corner is a complete exterior transformation of a St. Catharines property originally built in the 1860s. The mandate was clear: honour the history of the home in every decision made outside it. Period-sensitive design, authentic materials, and custom fabrication work together to create a landscape that feels as though it has always belonged to this property.
Working alongside a home of this age requires a different kind of attention. Every material, every detail, and every structural decision was made with the 1860s character of the property in mind. The result is a landscape that doesn’t compete with the architecture, it completes it.
From the custom-designed water feature to the hand-hewn Credit Valley flagstone underfoot, every element of Century Corner was chosen and placed with intention. The perimeter locally sourced reclaimed brick wall, built for security but designed with period authenticity, sets the tone from the street. Step inside and the detail only deepens.
Walkway
Sourced and hand-hewn specifically for this project, Credit Valley flagstone brings an authentic, period-appropriate texture and warmth to the walkways and patio surfaces throughout the property.
Perimeter
A full perimeter brick wall built for security and designed to mirror the masonry character of the original 1860s structure, down to the bond pattern, the mortar tone, and the proportions.
Custom Fence
A one-of-a-kind fence fabricated in-house to complement the brick wall and the historic character of the home. No off-the-shelf solution would have fit, so we built one from scratch.
Water Feature
A signature water feature designed specifically for Century Corner, sculpted to feel like a natural extension of the property’s heritage, not an addition to it.
